The Genesis Marriage Enrichment Retreats will occur annually with its debut in the Bahamas at the Margaritaville Beach Resort. This 4-day/3-night event promises to enrich marriages of all ages and phases. So, if you’ve been married for thirty days or thirty years, or your marriage is having a hard time or a hearty time, this retreat is for you.
You’ll be hosted by a professional psychologist in the person of Dr. Sam Heastie, who has been married for 37 years and has worked with couples for more than a quarter of a century. Dr. Heastie is a college professor who is very familiar with both the theory and the application of making marriages successful. He has an extensive clientele for whom he has provided services ranging from “meeting your match” to “marrying your match.” His creation of the Genesis Retreats is the latest in his offerings. It intends to enrich matches so that they will go from mad to merry, or from merry to melodious.
Day 1
Thursday, October 5th, 2023
Check in, refresh yourself, relax, and wait for the party to begin!

Let’s begin with a welcome reception. Light up the night skies of the Bahamas when you “break the ice” with food, folk, and fun. Eat to your heart’s content, and dance to the sounds of calypso music and the waves of the ocean as you meet and greet the others in the conga line that jump-starts this exciting journey.
Enjoy a deserved rest
Fall asleep to the natural sounds of seas on the sands in your ocean-view room while sprawling yourself across your king-size bed. You’ll awake refreshed and ready for what the new day is going to bring.
Day 2
Friday, October 6th, 2023
Wakey, wakey, breakfast is served; it’s buffet-style, and it’s on the house!
Your stomach will grumble in anticipation as the mouthwatering aroma of freshly brewed coffee and sizzling bacon wafts through the air. Your eyes will widen in glee as you gaze upon the stunning display of breakfast delights that stretches out before you, a feast fit for kings and queens.
Catch your breath
Now that you’ve had your fill at breakfast, hang on to your partner as your shuttle takes off for the Bahamas Botanical Gardens. Exchange kisses under the iconic conch-shell archway and catch your breath beneath a beautiful Bougainvillea tree. Enjoy the garden for the next few hours and then, off to other guided adventures that allow you to create new loving memories.
Create Sweet Memories
It’s almost dinner time, so soak up some sun rays and add fuel to your love tank. You’ll need it as the heat turns up at dinner.

Day 3
Saturday, October 6th, 2023
It’s day 3, and another opportunity to nurture your love relationships.
Answer that phone, it’s the breakfast buffet calling again.
It’s your day
Do whatever you want! Want to go back to the gardens, do that. Want to swim with the pigs, do that. Want to galivant in the shopping district, do that.
Whatever you do, don’t forget you’ll need to get dolled up and decked out for tonight’s gala.
Saturday Evening Gala Event
Renew the magic of marriage in the luxurious ballroom with sparkling chandeliers, exquisite decorations, and soft music playing in the background.
As a sumptuous dinner is served, reflect on what was and what is to be. Then, take to the dance floor, lock eyes in a passionate gaze, and listen for the words, “I love you, still.”

There are 2 payment methods. Both include an initial deposit.
- Method 1: Initial Deposit of $600 and a second(final) payment of $1395
- Method 2: Initial Deposit of $600.00 and 3 consecutive payments of $465 per month
Do i need a passport?
YES!
Travel to the Bahamas requires an up-to-date passport. The link provided will assist with getting a US passport if you’re a US citizen. DON’T WAIT!
